Our Marble Bread Plate, measuring Ø17cm x 2.5cm high, features an organic, slightly oval shape with a milky-white satin glaze. Made from stoneware using clay from Thailand, it's fired at high temperatures for over 12 hours twice, ensuring exceptional durability and complete vitrification.

The marbling of the four different clays creates a unique pattern of flowing colours, reminiscent of natural earthy striations found in river beds and soil formations. Our artisans expertly hand-turn each piece to create a one-of-a-kind effect. The soft, milky-white satin glaze reduces light reflection, gently diluting the intensity of the patterns to ensure the ingredients and your creation remains the true showcase.

The plate undergoes oxidation firing, a process that allows oxygen to interact with the clay, enhancing the vibrancy and durability of the glaze. Handmade by a family studio in North East Thailand, each piece is hand-glazed and hand-trimmed, ensuring every plate is one-of-a-kind.

Having a dedicated bread plate, also known as a side plate, is a practical addition to any dining set. It helps keep your table setting organized, providing a specific place for bread, appetizers, or small bites, and enhancing the dining experience.

This plate is dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and oven-proof, making it a versatile addition to your kitchen.

Experience the perfect blend of tradition and functionality with the Marble Bread Plate -a testament to enduring quality and timeless design.

Momentum is everything

We use muscle memory to make, shape and mould in a centrifugal dance where tiny movements matter. A frictional force of push and pull, the plate your purchase is the meeting place of maker and mud. Palinopsia turns clay into everyday objects.

Planet to Plate

What we do and don’t do matters. In constant conversation, we continue to modify our environmental and social influence from design to delivery. And our people and partners are all-in, in terms of responsible trading, recycling resources, reducing plastic and waste. Always innovating, brainstorming and tweaking to make strides in sustainability and durability, we take a planet perspective.
